Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced game play features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight...

If you've recently bought Batman: Arkham City then you'll already know what a rich and varied playing experience you get running around Arkham City as both Batman and Catwoman, both with their own unique styles. And, in the case of Catwoman, it's interesting to play as her in one of the different skins that represent a different comic book representation of the character.

Now, less than a month after the retail release, the first of the game's downloadable content is available which allows you to download and play as Nightwing (but not in the main game mode).

Nightwing comes complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and is playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack: Wayne Manor and Main Hall.

In addition there is a second skin that you can chose to play as - this one is the one seen in the Batman: Animated Series. While it won't add a huge amount to the game, it's fun to complete some of the challenges as Nightwing - even if he's not as much fun or as cool as Batman or Catwoman.

While not an essential purchase, at less than £6 this is an interesting add-on for those that love the game, and the inclusion of Wayne Manor and Main Hall challenge maps should sweeten the deal.
