Screamworks Records releases the soundtrack to Swedish horror movie Psalm 21, which features a colourful orchestral score by Christer Christensson, a composer who has written extensively for the stage. This is his first full-blown feature film score and is a pretty impressive debut.

There are wonderfully crafted suspense based tracks (like 'Why, Henrik, Why?'); beautiful themes (including 'In Pace' and 'Adagio: Words of Love') There's also a huge nod to the work of Bernard Herrmann here - particularly his style used for Psycho.

This is an interesting album and includes some real nuggets of quality music. The fact that this is Christensson's first full-length feature score is staggering. I look forward to hearing more from him in the future.
