Jeff Grace’s music for The Innkeepers is ingeniously atmospheric and somewhat old-school in its orchestral approach, eerie, yet quite melodic. The quality of the score has already been confirmed at Screamfest where Jeff Grace won the festival trophy for ‘Best Musical Score’...

Jeff Grace's (Stake Land, The House of the Devil, I Sell The Dead) score for The Innkeepers is incredibly atmospheric and works well to heighten the mood of the movie. However, the majority of the tracks revolve around a similar atmospheric theme, which might not be to everyone's taste. The album runs for 40 min, 31 sec and is spread over 14 tracks.

While listening to 'The Innkeepers' and 'End Titles (Suite from The Innkeepers)' I couldn't help but be reminded of Richard Marvin's 'Drive to Club' from the Surrogates soundtrack.

'The Story of Madeline' has a slow build to an impressive central theme, while 'Epilogue' and 'End Titles (Suite from The Innkeepers)' house this score's most beautiful pieces of music.

While I did, on balance, enjoy this album, there's only a few stand out moments. While not an essential purchase, mainly due to the repetitive nature of the majority of the tracks, this is still worth checking out.
