The Spanish horror action movie Sexykiller was released in 2008 and until now Fernando Velázquez's score for the film has been unavailable to purchase. Now, thanks to Screamworks Records, this rich orchestral score is available to buy for the first time. This is one of Velázquez's most entertaining scores to date,. Reflecting the genre mix of the movie, the score features a lot of action writing, über-romantic love themes and spine-chilling horror orchestrations...

I wasn't a huge fan of Fernando Velázquez's previous scores for Garbo: The Spy and Shiver, but his work on Sexykiller is refreshingly original.

Because of the various genres that the movie straddles, Velázquez really has his work cut out for him reflecting various moods throughout the film.

'Barbie in Love' was probably my favourite track, as it holds at its core quite a strong, beautiful theme. I also couldn't help but be reminded of the work of Danny Elfman on quite a few tracks ('Bad Girls'; the end of 'Who am I?'; 'Speddie'; the end of 'Barbara and Alex'; and 'The Face of the Murderer.'

The album contains 20 tracks and lasts for 51 min, 51 sec. Overall, this is an enjoyable album that's well worth seeking out.
