Revel in the crude company of Stan and Roger the alien. During this season Stan buys a hot tub which talks and has a murderous agenda, Steve grows attached to his lucky panties, Roger wrestles his way into the record books and Francine gets jealous of Stan's old flame. Meanwhile Roger travels to the Middle East to support the troops and meets Ricky Martin...

Volume 8 of American Dad! collects together another 18 episodes. The episodes were originally broadcast between 25 September 2011 and 13 May 2012.

Highlights include:

Hot Water: Stan buys a used hot tub, not realising that its sentient and that it is also an evil killer. As he spends more time with the tub he starts to ignore his normal life. This is a homage to Little Shop of Horrors.

A Ward Show: Steve and his principal have a good relationship: Steve manages the principle Lewis's finances, while he lets Steve do whatever he likes at school. Roger becomes Steve's legal guardian just so that Stan and Francine don't have to go to another teacher's evening, but everything quickly falls apart and Steve and principle Lewis end up on the road heading for the Grand Canyon.

Virtual In-Stanity: Worried he's missed out on the most important years of his son's life, Stan uses the CIA virtual reality equipment to become a new, sexy girl at Steve's school. He plans to date Steve so he can be there for the most important night of his life...

Stan's Best Friend: This is probably this season's most WTF?!? episode. Steve gets a puppy, that is crushed by a hot air balloon full of pirate cats. The poor puppy has had every bone in its tiny body crushed, but is still alive on life support. Stan takes it to the only person who can help, a woman he begs to do everything in her power to fix the puppy up as best she can.

Less Money, Mo' Problems: Fed up with Jeff and Hayley freeloading, Stan agrees to a challenge. If he and Francine can live for a month on the same money Jeff and Hayley bring home, then Jeff and Hayley will have to move out.

Ricky Spanish: While looking through his disguises, Roger finds an old costume but can't remember what it is... When he starts wearing it he soon realises it's Ricky Spanish, the most hated of his personas and almost everyone wants a piece of him.

Celebrity guest voices this season include Cee Lo Green, Anjelica Huston, Elisabeth Shue, Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Michael Peña and Emily Deschanel.

Extras include Deleted Scenes on almost every episode, audio commentaries for two episodes and Stan's Booty Dance (1 min, 11 sec which shows the original reference footage, provided by the assistant director, for Stan's dance in Virtual In-Stanity).
