Marvel’s Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man...?

Brian Tyler's score for Iron Man 3 delivers exactly what you'd expect for another Iron Man movie. It builds wonderfully on Ramin Djawadi's work on Iron Man and John Debney score for Iron Man 2. From time to time Tyler references Alan Silvestri's main theme from The Avengers, which is not surprising given the context, but it's just subtle enough not to stand out like a sore thumb.

If I had one slight moan, it's that while Tyler does an admirable job, the score sounds a little dull on the first play through. It takes a couple of listens to really warm to it and the main reason for this seems to be that there are no stand out themes that really hook you.

From melancholy, tracks like 'Isolation' to the epic sounds of 'Battle Finale', Tyler does well to make Iron Man his own. The album contains 20 tracks and lasts for 1 hr, 15 min, 42 sec.
