Supernatural seductress Bo (Anna Silk), is a succubus who feeds on the sexual energy ("chi") of humans. Growing up with human parents, Bo had no reason to believe she was anything other than the girl next door - until she drained her boyfriend to death in their first sexual encounter. Now she has hit the road alone and afraid. She discovers she is one of the Fae, creatures of legend and folklore, who pass as humans while feeding off them secretly and in different ways, as they have for millennia. Relieved yet horrified to find out this she is not alone, Bo decides to take the middle path between the human and the Fae while embarking on a personal mission to unlock the secrets of her origin...

Continuing the plot that started unfolding in seasons two and three, the main drive of the fourth season, and ongoing story arc, revolves around a mysterious threat that is coming to cause havoc amongst the light and dark fae. The Wanderer's identity is finally revealed and we discover that Bo, whose memory is a little foggy, has somehow managed to align herself with the Dark Fae.

Once again Kenzi appears to be taking more and more of a back seat in the episodes, which means that a little of the comedy elements are missing. Thankfully the writers are giving more gags to quite a few of the main cast, with Tamsin injecting some of the much needed tongue in cheek dialogue.

Thankfully the bi-sexual elements of the show (leaning a little too heavily towards the lesbian side) seems to have been dampened down in this season - which is a bit of a relief, as it was becoming a little predictable and felt like it was being used as filler material.

Once again, as with the previous DVD releases, there are no extras in this collection - which may come as a disappointment to hardcore fans.

The ongoing story arc this season reaches a climactic finale - that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. This is another enjoyable season - possibly the most satisfying to date.
