Explore the lands of PacWorld far beyond the bustling streets of Pacopolis and the Netherworld through the depths of the ocean floor and into space. In order to defeat the havoc-causing ghosts, Pac will need to do what he does best... Eat! Chomping down on the various Power Berries will give Pac a much needed boost to fight back against his enemies. Using the many types of Power Berries from the Tree of Life, Pac will be able to transform into different versions of himself, including enhanced versions of returning powers such as Fire Pac and Ice Pac and epic new transformations including the gigantic PacZilla...

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 features Pac, Spiral and Cylindria in an all-new storyline as they defend PacWorld from the ghoulish army of Lord Betrayus. Chomp your way through ghosts and find special berries that allow you to change your appearance and equip yourself with special powers.

Review imageThis 3D platformer sees you take on the familiar role of Pac, as he has to work his way through the various levels, chomping as he goes. There's a pretty straightforward tutorial that sets out the basics, but as you progress you're also given additional tutorials on how to use the powers of the transformed Pac.

Tying everything together is an amusing collection of cut sequences (all the photos we were provided with to illustrate this review were taken from the cut sequences rather than actual game play) that use familiar vocal artists.

This is a game aimed at the younger end of the market, and for that reason alone adults wanting a more mature game will be left wanting. However, it's still a good solid platformer, so if you're a fan of the genre then there's much to enjoy here.

Review imageIn addition to running around and confronting the odd boss, there are also sections where you can pilot some of the residents vehicles. This helps to break up the game a little and stop everything getting too boring

The sound was also interesting. If you have surround sound capabilities then you'll jump as ghosts make a noise behind you, or one of your friends cheers for you, or calls for help.

In addition you can revisit levels to find all the hidden extras and get to previously impossible to access areas.

There's much to enjoy here for the younger gamer, enough to make Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 is a game that will keep the younger members of your household quiet for quite some time.
