MovieScore Media/Kronos Records release Rikard Borggård's score for Swedish TV series Real Humans. Coming from the mind of author Lars Lundström, the SVT1 series takes place in an alternate Sweden where the reliance of consumer-level androids is a very mundane occurrence. The so-called hubots are virtually indistinguishable from real humans, but are usually given more menial jobs: they are servants, factory workers, etc. While many people welcome the new technology, a political movement against the hubots called "Real Humans" are gaining strength to stop the spread of the dreaded creatures especially when they show more human-like features…

As represented here, with out the visuals of the TV show, Rikard Borggård's score for Real Humans seems to be just a collection of rather flat atmospheric tracks. While 'Real Humans (Main Theme)' is technically interesting, it's far from being a memorable theme.

The album contains 20 tracks (47 min) and I can honestly say that there wasn't one that I'd be eager to listen to again, with the possible exception (if my arm was twisted) of ('Odi and Silas'. As I mentioned previously, technically the album is flawless and no doubt adds much to the atmosphere of the TV series, but when listened to in isolation it's just too dry.
