La-La Land Records releases Steve Jablonsky's score for Transfomers: Age of Extinction. The fourth installment of the live-action Transformers sci-fi film series, begins after an epic battle left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history... while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans , Optimus Prime and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world...

Steve Jablonsky previously scored for the game series Gears of War; and the animated movie Steamboy. His music for Transfomers: Age of Extinction carries on the tradition of providing a modern orchestrated/electronic score that ramps up the action aspect of the movie. Jablonsky is no stranger to this franchise, having penned the scores for the first three movies. Lesser composers would have either run out of ideas by now or regurgitated the same old themes and set pieces. It's a credit to Jablonsky that not only does he deliver some excellent fresh content, but he also makes it fit comfortably with his previous work on the franchise.

In addition, to give it a little more of a twist, Imagine Dragons vocals and other instrumentation to five of the tracks. If you're a fan of the series then you'll love what Jablonsky delivers here. It's much more than just more of the same.
