Lakeshore Records release Ronen Landa's score for At the Devil's Door. When ambitious young real estate agent Leigh is asked to sell a house with a checkered past, she crosses paths with a disturbed girl whom she learns is the runaway daughter of the couple selling the property. When Leigh tries to intervene and help her, she becomes entangled with a supernatural force that soon pulls Leigh's artist sister Vera into its web - and has sinister plans for both of them...

Ronen Landa's score for At the Devil's Door contains 14 tracks (35 min, 32 sec). The album starts off well, with an interesting main theme, but then it slowly descends into generic horror fare. While there's nothing overtly wrong with this, if that's your bag, it's just treading a well worn path and so offers up little in the way of originality.

In fact, there are a few too many horror cliches used here. From out of tune instruments; screeching strings; to loud "shock" moments, it's such a shame that what started off as a promising score soon falls apart.

There are still moments that are worth investing your time in, but on the whole this is pretty run-of-the-mill.
