ScreamWorks Records releases John DelVento’s music for the independent horror film Lucifer’s Angels. The story follows three different groups of people as their paths eventually cross in the the Catskill Mountains of New York. We meet a group of four friends on their first camping trip together, a ghost hunter and his fiancé and a father/son team who live in the haunted woods. The mountains have an infamous history; in 1978 four inmates of the King Lakes Psychiatric Hospital for the Criminally Insane committed unspeakable acts there...

Sadly, on the whole, John DelVento’s score for Lucifer's Angels offers little more than the standard, cliched horror score fare. What it does, it does well... but I'm afraid it's yet another one of those score that really doesn't work as a standalone collection of music tracks; you really need the onscreen imagery to appreciate the score.

There aren't really any memorable themes or set pieces to get excited about, just atmospheric noise. While you won't want to listen to this for relaxation, it would make the most amazing background music if you host a halloween party.

Perfect for the movie, not so hot when you listen to it on its own merits (which was never the intention anyway).
