Lakeshore Records release John Debney and Nick Urata's score for The Cobbler. Max Simkin repairs shoes in the same New York shop that has been in his family for generations. Disenchanted with the grind of daily life, Max stumbles upon an heirloom that allows him to step into the lives of his customers and see the world in a new way. Sometimes walking in another man's shoes is the only way to find out who you really are...

John Debney and Nick Urata's score for The Cobbler is, on the whole, a rather bland affair. It's functional, but offers nothing to get excited about.

The album contains 35 tracks (1 hr, 03 min, 06 sec), but sadly one track is pretty much like another. You can't fault the composers, as obviously this works well in the background of the movie. It's just that when it's front and centre without the onscreen action, it appears very flat.

One for hardcore fans of the movie only.
