343 Industries release Tom Salta's score for the latest Halo game, Spartan Strike, which is designed for PC and mobile gaming. It represents an all new story in the Halo universe. You are a Spartan supersoldier in a classified ONI simulation of New Mombasa set during the events of Halo 2. Delve into 30 challenging missions using an all new arsenal of weapons, abilities, and vehicles...

Halo: Spartan Strike, sees Tom Salta sitting in the composer's chair for his third Halo outing, following on from Halo 2: Anniversary and Halo Spartan: Assault. While I've not heard his music for the two previous games, I was a huge fan of Halo 3 (composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori), and Salta's music here certainly pays homage to that, on occasion.

The album contains 27 tracks (1 hr, 11 min, 10 sec) of ethereal choral arrangements, piano motifs, synth ambience and sweeping sci-fi orchestral compositions that are distinctly identifiable and authentic to the franchise. Tracks like 'Just Beyond', 'Careful Steps', 'Jungle Threats' and 'Spartan Strike Reflection Mix' will have you transported back to 2007.

Halo score collectors will instantly embrace this next evolutionary step that moves the music forward, whilst still keep one foot firmly planted in the franchise's rich past.
