Marvel Music release Bear McCreary's original score for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The TV series is based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division), a fictional peacekeeping and spy agency. The show revolves around Phil Coulson and his team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, who are tasked with investigating unusual cases and enemies...

Bear McCreary's score for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. musically offers little in the way of surprises. This is a superhero score like any other superhero score - I have to be honest and admit they are all starting to blur into one for me. So there's powerful action theme after powerful action theme. The album contains 18 tracks (1 hr, 17 min, 52 min).

Occasionally, like 'Helicopter Rescue', the composer is allowed to draw breath and deliver a beautiful, subtle theme, before we're off on another action adventure ride. While I did enjoy this score, I didn't feel like I took anything away from it that I hadn't heard before.

At the end of the day, it's a good, solid action adventure superhero score which will delight fans of the series.
