Ian Hultquist's score for The Diabolical certainly gives you a lot of music for your money - 30 tracks (1 hr, 06 min, 06 sec) - but, it will probably not come as much of a surprise to learn that it's mostly comprised of cliched horror cues.

If you're a fan of these type of scores, then you'll probably find much to enjoy here, but if you're looking for a soundtrack with some memorable, or interesting themes you're going to be disappointed.

No doubt it works well to raise the atmosphere in the movie, but it sounds a little dull when listened to on its own.
