Screamworks Records presents the latest collaboration between director Padraig Reynolds and composer Holly Amber Church. The supernatural horror Worry Dolls tells the story of some cursed trinkets which are recovered from the latest crime scene of serial killer Henry Leonard Bale. Although the killer was gunned down in the incident, the box of Guatemalan talismans find their way into the hands of Chloe, the 8-year old daughter of Matt, a cop working on the case. As the new owners of the worry dolls start acting strangely, Matt must find a way to break the curse and save Chloe...

When I first started playing this score the first track had all the hallmarks of an ambient, cliched horror music cues based score. But as the album progressed, it soon became evident that Holly Amber Church has something a little bit different up her sleeve.

There's no mistaking the score for Worry Dolls for anything other than a soundtrack for a horror movie, but there's another level to it that rewards the listener with repeat plays.

The score contains 23 tracks (59 min, 32 sec) and has several reflective moments - most notably in the track 'A Pure Innocent'.

It's an interesting score that is both functional for the movie while at the same time offering up enough interesting themes to make it worth adding to your soundtrack collection.
