Lakeshore Records release Rob Simonsen's score for Nerve. Industrious high school senior, Vee Delmonico, has had it with living life on the sidelines. But as she finds herself caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition partnered with a mysterious stranger, the game begins to take a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading her into a high stakes finale that will determine her entire future...

There's a distinct '80s synth feel running through Rob Simonsen's score for Nerve. It's not one that everyone will enjoy, but it you're a fan of movies from that era then, like me, you'll get a nostalgic kick out of this album.

The score opens with 'Game On' and closes with 'Let’s Play (Bonus Track)', both of which are based on the same theme. The opener is an instrumental take on the closing track, which is an energetic synth-driven track with an '80s vibe performed by Simonsen and White Sea.

It's an adrenaline rush of a score containing 20 tracks (48 min, 42 sec), with 'Catfight' and 'Afermath' standing out as the album's two eerily beautiful tracks.
