Milan Records celebrates the tenth anniversary of the critically-acclaimed anime franchise Puella Magi Madoka Magica with the first-ever digital release of music featured in the series, movie and the mobile game Magia Record. Included within the release are three albums of music from the Aniplex title, including two albums featuring music from the series and movie as well as one album from Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, a mobile game based on the anime with its own original storyline...

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Music Collection features highlights of the score from the anime series and film, which was mostly composed by Yuki Kajiura. As fans of the series will already know, the music ranges from heartbreakingly beautiful ('Vocalise Op. 34 No. 14') to adrenaline pumping action themes ('Agmen Clientum'). Overall there are 2 hrs and 15 sec (45 tracks) worth of music and that's easily going to satisfy fans of the show as well as collectors of anime soundtracks.

There's a few instances of crossover from the album Puella Magi Madoka Magica Ultimate Best (also released this month) with the songs 'Credens Justitiam', 'Mata Ashita', 'And I'm Home', 'Connect', 'Magia' and 'Numquam Vincar-Live Version', and honestly if you can only afford to buy one album, this is the one to get as Yuki Kajiura's score is a delight and it contains just the right amount of songs from the show.

There's enough diversity on offer here to ensure that casual soundtrack collectors will find plenty to enjoy here whether they're familiar with the franchise or not.
