Build structures from parts to let them crash into your targets. Unlock new parts, destroy more, witness entropy at its worst in digital-brutalist cityscapes. Be creative and resourceful with the parts you get, try to destroy the target with less parts or in a more elegant way – it's going to be a spectacle any way you do it...

You can return to any stage to try to do better

ABRISS is an atmospheric physics-destruction building game. When I started playing, while I was impressed with the graphics and presentation, I was seriously wondering how long before the gameplay got boring, or I reached a level I couldn't move past.

I needn't have concerned myself with such trivial worries as it soon becomes clear that this is one game you'll want to return to time and time again. There's something strangely satisfying watching the structures splinter and explode. The game opens with a very simple tutorial. It won't take long to get the basics down... and then you can unleash fury on the generated worlds to come.

As you progress you'll unlock new parts and it's a good idea to experiment with them as they may not be overly useful in the level they appear, but you'll be glad of them later on.

The campaign mode sees seven worlds with several stages including bonus levels. You start each stage with a limited set of parts and it's up to you to find a strategy on how to use them to destroy all main target blocks. You can return to any stage in order to have another go at destroying a higher percentage of it, or complete it in less moves.

In sandbox mode you can experiment with parts that you've yet to unlock. This helps you get ahead of the game, ensuring that once you unlock parts you know exactly what they do. There's also endless mode (keep going in a bid to record the highest score) and photo mode (where you can slow down / freeze time as well as apply filters in a bid to snap a jaw dropping image of your destruction.

A cheap, satisfying puzzle game that will challenge you.
