Thrill once more to the genre-twisting exploits of the liquid avenger, Splash Brannigan, and the comedy crimebuster Cobweb; tremble before the genetic superpower of The First American and the towering intellect of child inventor Jack B. Quick, and swoon before 'gentleman sleuth' Greyshirt...

The second Tomorrow Stories collection brings together more tales of the insane from the twisted mind of Alan Moore.

The majority of the stories included in this collection I really enjoyed (although I've never really been a huge fan of Cobweb - I know what Moore is trying to do with this strip, and for that I applaud him. It's just that it's not really to my taste.

Jim Baike, who is one of my favourite artists, gives us a few episodes of The First American and U.S.Angel. That alone, for me, almost justifies the asking price. The man is a national treasure (whatever that means) and there should be an annual holiday on his birthday! He is a genius with the pen.

Jack B. Quick and Splash Brannigan add a more in-your-face style of humour which is easy to digest. The same, however, can not be said for Grey Shirt - with its dark plot. But, that's not to say that it is any less enjoyable.

For those that like their comic books served up with a large side order of laughs, Tomorrow Stories will get a huge thumbs up.
