Since her introduction in 1975, Power Girl has been an immensely popular character, weathering the many changes to the DC Universe without a sweat. And now she has become a pivotal player in the Infinite Crisis - the most important comics storyline of 2006...

Power Girl is a bit of an all round collection of general stories, from the '70s to the present day. If you are unfamiliar with the character then this volume will help ease you into where she fits into the DC Universe and why she is such an integral part of the Infinite Crisis story line.

These stories examine the personal "identity crisis" that Power Girl goes through when Super Girl arrives on earth - now that Power Girl is not Superman's nearest living relative. Trying to fit in when you do not know where you belong is not easy for Power Girl.

This collection also showcases the flippant humour that has long become a fan favourite, and made the character so endearing.

To be honest though, unless you really love the character, I can't honestly recommend this collection. There are only two groups of readers that I would suggest pick this up; true fans, as I mentioned, and new readers who are looking for a backstory to the character after enjoying the Infinite Crisis series.

For everyone else there's very little of substance here.
