Robin of Locksley returns from the Crusades to find his people starving and oppressed by the new Sheriff of Nottingham. Under this tyrannical regime, the slightest crime attracts the heaviest punishment, and dissent is impossible. Robin soon discovers that the only way to reason with the Sheriff is with bow and arrow - even if it means sacrificing his lands and becoming an outlaw...

Will You Tolerate This? is a 2-disc CD collection. Kirsty Neale has adapted Dominic Minghella's original script for the TV series into a script that works as an audio book.

This tale starts as Robin, Earl of Huntingdon, returns home from the Crusades to find a very different place than he left. It's been five year's since he was last home. Robin has to make a difficult choice. Will he compromise his values of honour and justice and fit in with the new, corrupt, order or make a stand to save innocent lives - four of his own peasants who he has been ordered to hang?

This release sees an action packed adventure read by Richard Armitage, who plays Guy of Gisborne in the BBC TV series. What's interesting for fans of the TV series is that BBC Audio has also included an extra on this 2-disc CD release in the form of a bonus interview with Richard Armitage, giving an exclusive behind-the-scenes account of filming for the BBC show... or so the blurb on the back of the CD case promised. In truth what we get is a six-minute casual chat. Just under 50 percent of this is taken up with Armitage talking about the characters and laying out the world that Robin lives in.

While Armitage's reading is fairly engaging, sadly - mainly due to the fact that the original story was designed for the visual media - this tale drags quite a bit. Having said that, this will find a welcome home with anyone who is a fan of the BBC series. It's also interesting in that it explains the origins of Robin Hood.
