The dark underworld of espionage and crime is lit up by the fatal charms of the gorgeous Modesty Blaise - high priestess of pulp crime and goddess of cult thrillers. Modesty stumbles from a baby-sitting job into a mob war in
The Reluctant Chaperon; shoots for the heart in The Greenwood Maid; betrayal puts both Modesty and Willie in the gladiatorial arena in Those About to Die; and in The Inca Trail, the duo save two children... and stop a revolution...

The Inca Trail collects together four Modesty Blaise tales: The Reluctant Chaperon, The Greenwood Maid, Those About to Die and The Inca Trail. Each tale has a brief introduction by Modesty creator Peter O'Donnell, who imparts information that he can remember about the origins of the story, his inspirations, as well as what he was trying to achieve.

As fans have come to expect, the story telling in these tales is extremely tight and has some of the slickest traps and solutions you can imagine. For example, in the Inca Trail, Modesty and Willie seem to be having one of those nightmare days. No sooner do they get out of one scrape, than they are faced with another difficult dilemma.

It's no surprise to discover that the art work is as stunning as usual. This collection also features the third part of a 1973 interview with O'Donnell, conducted by Nick Landau and Richard Burton, which first appeared in Comic Media.

Another beautiful release that will find a welcome home in many a Modesty fan's collection.
