Volume Four in the Oh My Goddess series of original
mangas sees the arrival of a demon on the scene. Mara has
quite a bit of history with Belldandy and Urd, and is not
quite what he/she seems. For anyone that has been following
the anime DVD releases of Ah! My Goddess, the introduction
of Mara may leave you scratching your head. In this manga,
Mara is introduced as a female demon - when in the anime he
is obviously male. However, fear not as this misunderstanding
is soon cleared up.
particularly enjoyed the opening story, Chapter 24 - The
Flying Motor Club, which sees Keiichi and his motor club
restoring a Japanese Shinden aircraft, and getting it to fly.
Chapter 24, Let's Take the Love Seeds, is amusing -
with Urd making a special tea that acts as an aphrodisiac.
She's planning on using it to bring Belldandy and Keiichi
together, but ends up drinking some of it herself. The result
is that she starts to fancy the strangest of people.
the end of the day, this is another interesting collection
of tales that will keep fans of this series entertained.
