I was a little apprehensive of what to expect from this book. I loved Tank Girl when she originally appeared in Deadline back in 1988, but after the disastrously poor movie and years of silence, I wondered whether time would be kind to the characters. I'm twenty years older and have matured since then, however it would seem that my sense of humour hasn't, as I really enjoyed this release.

Okay, I admit that I could have done with out the poems, and I didn't really find much of interest in the scripts for unpublished comic strips, but the main story (which takes up just over half of the book) is just as sick, twisted and violent as I remember Tank Girl being when I was younger.

It was also interesting to learn that Martin will soon be launching a new Tank Girl comic series which will be illustrated by Judge Dredd artist Mick McMahon.

For those who fondly remember Tank Girl then this book will not disappoint.
