Watchman co-creator Dave Gibbons shares his memories of the making of Watchmen, alongside a wealth of rare and previously unpublished art. With its in-depth exploration of discarded concepts, secret origins, and the rich symbolism and avalanche of detail that has made Watchmen a seminal work for the ages, this is the essential companion to the original graphic novel...

Watching the Watchmen is one of those big glossy books that feels like a real labour of love - almost as though the world's biggest Watchmen fan was asked for their input through the whole process. This is the coffee table book that sets the standards for others to follow.

There's just so much here that it's difficult to know where to start. This work of art is packed to bursting with rough sketches, writer and artist notes, sample pages, covers and loads more which offer one of the best visual feasts you'll have seen for years.

In amongst all the illustrations are the thoughts of some of those responsible for working on the series over the years, along with bits of information that the average fan will be unaware of - including some of the pressure that both the artists and writers were under.

Anyone who is a serious Watchmen fan has to have this monster of a book in their collection.
