Amazo, the malevolent android with the combined powers of the Justice League of America, has become obsolete. What happens when he is replaced by a newer model? Frank Halloran, a young college student is asking himself that same question when he discovers that he is the cyborg son of the archvillain - Kid Amazo...

Kid Amazo reprints JLA: Classified issues #37-41 and revolves around one young man's struggle to come to terms with the fact that he is not who, or what, he thought he was.

When Frank Hollaran learns that he is the son of Amazo, he soon discovers that he is part human, part machine. But this new Amazo is younger, smarter, faster and more lethal than his father, the Justice League is confronted with a dangerous dilemma: do they destroy this new threat before his programming takes hold - or do they hope that Frank can fight his destiny on his own?

But with that much power, will Kid Amazo listen to reason or is it inevitable that he will follow in the footsteps of his villainous "parent"? Will the League gain a new ally or face the next generation in the evil Amazo legacy? As Frank discovers that each layer of his life is a lie, the answer grows increasingly bleak.

This collection has more twist and turns than I was expecting, and it's a credit to Peter Milligan's writing that I couldn't see any of the plot developments coming before they slapped my in the face. For JLA fans, Kid Amazo offers something fresh into the mix.
