Come and see the biggest freak show in the country - Aberrance USA, the only city founded entirely by the misbegotten, abnormal and just plain weird. But there's more going on in Aberrance than meets your gawking eyes - unrest is brewing among the mutated masses, aimed squarely at the town's corporate leadership who are planning a televised revolution that will decisively erase the boundary between "normal" and "freak." When one of the rabble-rousers turns up dead, however, an outside investigator is called in - and the corruption that he uncovers will prove to be deeper than anyone could imagine...

Get Your Freak On! collects the first five issues of The Un-Men comic book series that explores what it means to be a freak in a society filled with gawkers.

The Un-Men are the ultimate "made freaks": stitched together from body parts and other bio-atrocities by the mad scientist and Swamp Thing's nemesis, Anton Arcane. Now, the Un-Men live in a reservation called Aberrance, transformed into a tourist destination by schemes of Un-Men Cranius and Janus Sr./Jr. With the promise of reality TV and radical medical technology, the freaks are about to go mainstream - until a disappearance threatens to ruin it all. Enter Agent Kilcrop, an African-American albino who, helped by Niko, an Un-Woman, soon uncovers a much more dangerous mystery.

After a sideshow attraction called "The Gill-Boy" is murdered, Kilcrop is dispatched by the government to solve the case. To uncover the truth, Kilcrop must infiltrate Aberrance, where society's most misshapen outcasts find their own kind of freedom.

If Get Your Freak On! is any indication of the quality of The Un-Men series, then comic fans are in for a treat. This first volume is twisted, funny and one the more interesting modern series to be launched into the market.

If you're after something a little different then you'll find this to be just the freakin' ticket.
