Get in touch with your inner Family Guy with four freakin' awesome episodes. See Peter form an independent country, go undercover as a hip high school student, lobby Congress on behalf of the tobacco industry, and start his own TV station featuring programs (as nature intended)...

Peter - Best Bits Uncovered is a collection of four Family Guy episodes that is designed to showcase Peter's best episodes. Sounds like a great idea for the casual fan who hasn't already been collecting the box sets, but unfortunately the episodes chosen seem an odd selection. Please note that all season references below refer to the original American season listings, not the rather confusing way that the UK DVD box sets have been grouped into seasons.

The episodes included in this collection include:

Let’s go to the Hop (Season 2): A new drug craze is sweeping Quahog and Peter goes undercover as a high school student in order to educate them on the dangers of this new fad.

E.Peterbus Unum (Season 2): Peter discovers that his house isn't on the Quahog map and decides to make his land an independent country called Petoria. He finds himself in trouble when he invades US soil in order to claim his neighbours pool for Petoria.

Mr.Griffin goes to Washington (Season 3): The toy factory where Peter works is bought out by a large tobacco company who wants to push its products to the young. Peter is sent to Washington in order to lobby for his new company's right to push smoking to children.

PTV (Season 4): When someone accidentally exposes themselves on live TV, the regulatory body cracks down hard on all future broadcasts. Annoyed that all his favourite shows are being censored, Peter creates his own TV station that has no censorship at all.

Unlike the recently released Stewie - Best Bits Exposed, Peter - Best Bits Uncovered does actually contain four episodes that showcase Peter at his best. However, with a title like "Best Bits" you could be forgiven for expecting this to be a collection of clips and not episodes that have previously been released. The DVD cover and title also suggest that the DVD will feature some of the show's naughtier content... it doesn't (except in the case of PTV which tackles censorship).

Extras include a digital download copy as well as a ring tone for your mobile phone. However, neither of these were on the review disc we received, so I can't really comment on how good/poor these are.

To be honest this is only going to appeal to the casual Family Guy fan - but as most online stores are offering entire season box sets for a little more than the RRP of this collection I've no idea who would actually buy this for themselves.
