This is the second time Craig has been injured while on the set of the movie. Two weeks ago, his face was cut and he required eight stitches.

The movie has been riddled with mishaps since the production began. Over the weekend a fire broke out at Pinewood studios, causing heavy damage to an exterior set for the film. Two stuntmen were injured in early April after unrelated car crashes. A British engineer crashed an Aston Martin into Lake Garda in Italy and during the same location shoot, an unnamed stuntman suffered head injuries in another car crash.

Quantum of Solace is to be released in cinemas on 07 November.

09/06/08 - Movie producers plan for Trek's future

news pic According to Trekmovie.com, Paramount Pictures recently approached Roberto Orci, co-writer and executive producer of J.J. Abraham's upcoming Star Trek movie, about making a second Trek film.

Pressed for spoilers about the upcoming film, Orci [pictured left] said: "Alright, I can give you a spoiler about the Studio's state of mind (not about the movie itself). The spoiler is that they already want to lock us down to write the sequel. Take that as you will. Unless the studio had a horrible experience with us, they would be trying to lock us down as standard operating procedure. They haven't even seen the movie yet, so this news should not be taken as evidence that we are anything special. It's a quite normal practice."

Star Trek is due to open in American cinemas on 08 May 2009.

news pic A new series of web-comics based on NBC's Heroes will be available soon on the internet and will introduce a dozen new characters from the Heroes universe. The most popular of these with fans are then likely to appear in the TV series.

In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire Frank Mastromauro, executive vice president of Aspen Comics, said: "We do all the online webisodes for Heroes. We just received a whole bunch of new mini-scripts for this [project]. Just in the last couple weeks, [artist and Aspen vice president] Peter Steigerwald designed 12 new characters for Heroes. All these characters are debuting online at NBC.com throughout the summer, and then, towards the end, characters who get the most votes [from fans] will probably wind up making it onto the show this fall.

"We'll be doing an e-graphic novel this summer," continued Mastromauro. "And instead of just stand-alone stories, it's kind of one, big continuous story with instances and things that happen to a lot of the characters we designed. It all leads up to the new season in September."

03/06/08 - Transformers rumours in disguise

news pic In a message posted on the Don Murphy.net website, Transformers 2 screenwriter Roberto Orci suggested fans could see as many as twenty different Transformers in the next film.

"I'd love and think we could almost barely manage ten on each side, with some front and centre and others as more supporting," Orci wrote.

While this isn't promising anything, it seems to suggest a much larger robot population for the sequel film.

However, rumours surrounding the next Transformers movie are rife, mainly due to Michael Bay and the production company deliberately leaking false information in order to keep fans guessing.

Transformers 2, which is being directed by Michael Bay and will star Shia LaBeouf, is scheduled for a 26 June 2009 release date.

The animatronic King Kong attraction that is part of the Universal Studios theme park tour was totally destroyed.
