Even Willow's own coven has turned against her now. Condemned for saving Buffy from their evil phantom and for not protecting the other coven members fully, as she had promised, Willow must come up with a way to restore herself to them - and to reinforce her position of power, which hangs in the balance. But the truth - that she battled the phantom because the ghost of Tara told her to - will only lower Willow's status in the eyes of her coven...

In book two of the Wicked Willow series Willow turns to the elements for protection, Buffy and the rest of the Scoobies must find a way to fight back without losing Willow forever.

Shattered Twilight reinforces what I thought might be the case with book one - that these three novellas could have been written as just one story in one book. I'm not saying it's a bad one, but not that much really happens in the instalment.

This book focuses on the problems Willow faces after the Scooby gatecrashed her party at the end of book one. She needs to rebuild her coven and yet again gain the trust of those that didn't get sucked... god knows where! She does get some surprises too when she manages to bring back three of the missing group, plus thanks to Ania the Scoobies - and Giles especially - get some surprises of their own.

This story seems to follow a very similar plot to the first however; this time Willow builds a monster in which she infuses part of the spirit of a lost comrade (you'll have to read it to find out who!) and the good guys are again trying to get into Willow's apartment and do something to stop her gaining power. Giles has a different plan this time though; one involving the ghost of Tara.

So do the Scoobies stop evil Willow and bring her back to her not-so-black self? Or is Willow consumed by the fight to bring Tara back that she loses herself completely? Well you won't know until you get to read book three.

While I've given it a bit of a beating in this review, Shattered Twilight isn't really that bad a story, it's just that there isn't that much to it. A simple pick up and read book for Buffy fans, but it won't take up much of your time.
