Farscape has established itself as one of the most wierd and original Sci-Fi shows to be in production at present. The story? Astronaut John Crichton was catapulted through space, thanks to a freak accident, stranding him in a distant part of the galaxy.

The Official Season 2 Companion is, unfortunately, a bit of a disappointment. While there are plenty of black and white images to keep fans of the series happy this book brings to mind the cheap and cheerful nature of the old unofficial Boxtree books.

While Simpson and Thompson do an excellent job of cramming in as many facts and bits of information as possible the whole thing is let down by the print quality. This is the Official ILLUSTRATED companion and it would have been so much better if it had been reproduced in high quality colour.

Having said that, this book provides more than enough to keep even the most avid fan happy. Not what you'd expect from an Official companion bit still worth picking up.
