Spider Jerusalem is an angry journalist on a crusade to bring the corrupt in society to justice. Having removed one President from office, only to make an instant mortal enemy of the new incumbent, Spider continues to investigate the death of his friend - campaign director Vita Severn. Spider soon discovers that the truth leads to the top...

Transmetropolitan: Gouge Away is a lesson in deprived pornography. This is the sort of novel you can imagine the anorak clad brigade getting all hot and sweaty over. Are there not enough half-naked chick comics on the market with out launching another one?

The underlying plot underneath all the tits and ass is an extremely thought provoking one. And after episode two the naked count goes down dramatically. The author has a range of storytelling, which ranges from the puerile to the dramatic.

This is not a half bad graphic novel, but if you have never encountered Spider Jerusalem before then I suggest you don't make this your introduction to him. There are far better Spider books out there and they are well worth tracking down.
