University student Sophie Bangs has become a living myth...
granted the power of the mystic warrior Promethea. Now she's
exploring the perilous upper levels of the Immateria for answers
about her past, future, and life itself...
likely to be a hit with students who are up themselves, book
four in the Promethea series is about as arrogant as
you can get without seeming rude.
Moore spins a tale that is more transparent than transcendental.
The main character, Sophie Bangs (Does she? Snigger!) is so
lightweight that the events that unfold around her are really
quite sad - like a self important daddy's girl who needs a
artwork is extremely engaging on the other hand And, though
I hate to admit it, some of Moore's ideals are intriguing.
It's just a shame that his main character is such an insufferable
pain. Do you remember at University that one girl who everyone
wanted to slap? The one who was self important and seemed
to look down at everyone? Well that's how Bangs (snigger!)
comes across for the most part.
you've not being following this series, now is not the time
to start. If you've bought the other three volumes chances
are you'll lap this up also - more fool you. Very average!
