The first Hourman sits alone at the end of time, having given his life to protect humanity. Sand, former chairman of the JSA, became one with the planet Earth to keep it whole. Hal Jordon sacrificed himself to become the new Spectre and keep the world safe. Those sacrifices are acknowledged and the JSA find themselves visiting old friends and new, rectifying injustices, aware that as they fix any problem, an even larger one is brewing in the timestream...

Lost is a fairly gripping JSA collection, which should keep the majority of fans of the series entertained for the duration. Most of the members of the JSA get a look in at some time in this graphic novel, although fans of Hourman will be pleased to see that this character has more to do than the rest of the team.

The Flash spends some time possessed by an evil entity that forces him to attack his allies, while Hourman is forced to come to terms with the painful relationship he has with his wife and son. Hourman knows he must sacrifice his life to ensure that everyone survives, but his son (the next generation Hourman) is determined that he will take his father's place, ensuring that he dies, while his father can go back and patch things up with his wife.

There is even a quick rundown of what has gone before - in case you've forgotten, or missed the previous collections.

My main disappointment was that Power Girl didn't feature in this collection as much as she should have. Hell, if I had my way there would be a Power Girl graphic novel out every week.

Another worthy addition to the JSA stable.
