When a police officer of irrefutable honour is caught stealing $1,000,000 from a police safe he claims to have no memory of his actions. The investigating officer, a member of the elite G4 special force believes that the perpetrator has been hypnotised. In an effort to prove his innocence the officer enlists the help of a psychologist who has become an expert in the shadowy field of pyschogenesis, the science of controlling the actions of others via hypnoses. It is his belief that the suspect is the unwitting target of such behaviour and has resulted in the theft. Together they must find the person responsible for this travesty before he strikes again...

Loaded with thrilling chases and tense and sizzling action Heroic Duo is one film you won't be able to tear your eyes from.

I never thought I would say it but this is certainly one of the most flat Asian films I have ever seen. Now please don't take this to mean that its bad, fo from it. Its just a bit flat. All of the ingredients are here for a top notch thrilling ride of a movie and it seems just like going on a slow merry-go-round when what you want is a rollercoaster to make you remember what you had for breakfast that morning.

The acting is good and the storyline is ok too, but I just failed to be thrilled by this thriller. I'm sorry I cannot be more specific than that other than to say it seems to be missing the "X" factor. Maybe its the atmosphere of the film that doesn't lift it high enough. I just cant put my finger on it.

This film does require some level of disbelief at how silly some of the situations are and how come Chinese police officers don't seem to have any common sense at all. Maybe that's what it is? It just doesn't feel professional.

Extras on the disc include some interviews with the director a making-of documentary and some more film notes. Not a bad film just try not to take it seriously at all, then you may end up hating it.
