A group of young scientists, funded by the Pentagon, are working
underground in secret to invent an invisibility serum. After
many tests on Gorillas they make a breakthrough and Sebastian,
the mad scientist, wants to move onto the next level and become
the first human to test out the serum. Things start out fun
but soon become twisted and violent. What would you do if
you didn't have to see yourself anymore.
The
effects in this film were outstanding and the techniques used
to show Sebastian as invisible were great. He would show up
in smoke, water and fire. Paul Verhoeven as a director knows
his stuff and this film just goes to show what he is capable
of.
This
was a scary, thrilling, violent movie and I loved every minute
of it. I was left wondering what I might like to do if I myself
became invisible or worse what if there was an invisible man
in my room? Extras on this DVD are very informative on how
the film was made. By watching the extras you realise just
how much work was done by everyone and how they actually made
Sebastian appear invisible. I feel they would be watched more
than once, as there is so much information to take in at the
one time.
This
DVD is worth every penny and will have you hooked from the
beginning right through to the end. With fantastic extras
as well, you'll wonder why you didn't buy it sooner.
